This express bus service was promoted in response to ongoing requests and interest aimed at resolving these inconveniences, and it has finally come to fruition with the launch of operations.
The opening ceremony was held at the Seobu Senior College in Seojong-myeon and was attended by more than 100 people, including Jeon Jinseon, Governor of Yangpyeong County; Kim Seongyo, National Assembly member; Hwang Sunho, Chairperson of the Yangpyeong County Council; Park Myungsook, member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council; Oh Hyeja, member of the Yangpyeong County Council; representatives from Geumgang Express; heads of institutions and organizations in Seojong-myeon; and local residents.
The Seojong-Jamsil Express Bus departs from the Munho-ri terminal in Seojong-myeon, Yangpyeong County, stops at Seojong Middle School and Munho 4-ri (Soguni) bus stops, and then turns around at the Seoul Jamsil Metropolitan Transfer Center.
The first bus departs at 6:00 a.m., and the last bus arrives at Munho-ri at 10:50 p.m.
Kim Sookyoung, Chairperson of the Seojong-myeon Village Leaders' Council, welcomed the launch of the express bus, calling it "the greatest gift in the history of Seojong-myeon." After the ceremony, about 30 residents boarded the bus and enthusiastically participated in a round-trip test ride to the Jamsil Transfer Center.
Jeon Jinseon, Governor of Yangpyeong County, said, "This launch is expected not only to reduce the transportation burden for Seojong-myeon residents but also to provide a comfortable and convenient transportation environment for tourists visiting Seojong. I would like to thank National Assembly member Kim Seongyo and all provincial and county council members who supported this launch, and above all, I extend my deepest gratitude to the residents of Munho-ri who proposed and passionately supported this route."
