ARKO received high marks in this evaluation for systematically implementing major strategic tasks, including: advancing multi-year support for arts creation to establish a stable creative environment; strengthening transparency and fairness in the operation of support programs; and diversifying support methods to provide creative experiences and opportunities for prospective and young artists (such as the founding of the ARKO Ensemble in Europe).
Additionally, ARKO was recognized for excellent cases such as: improving user-tailored services for the Munhwa Nuri Card; enhancing user convenience by introducing new functions linked to private digital platforms, such as Naver Pay easy payment and checking affiliated stores on Naver Map; actively attracting private sector sponsorship in the arts and culture field; and making efforts to address blind spots in arts support by utilizing sponsorship funds to support performances for self-reliant youth and people with disabilities.
Furthermore, the development of models for the Culture and Arts Sponsorship Index and the evaluation of private public interest foundations' contributions to arts and culture sponsorship were highlighted as examples of the leading role public institutions play in fostering the arts sponsorship ecosystem.
An ARKO representative stated that the organization will continue to set exemplary cases and further solidify its status as an arts support institution by: expanding and strengthening the foundation of basic arts; promoting co-growth of regional arts; nurturing talent in the convergence of arts and technology; expanding cultural enjoyment rights and supporting future generations; and spreading ESG management in the arts and culture sector.
