View original imageThe Community Security Council of Hyodeok-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju, announced on June 25 that, in recognition of the Month of Patriots and Veterans, it is conducting an event throughout June to personally visit 100 households of national veterans in the area and deliver health items such as soy milk and pain relief patches.
This project was organized to support the healthy lives of national veterans who dedicated themselves to the country and to share the warmth of the local community. Members of the council and staff from the Hyodeok-dong Administrative Welfare Center are personally visiting each household, checking in on the residents, assessing their health conditions, and providing emotional support as well.
Jung Deokgeun, chairperson of the Hyodeok-dong Community Security Council, stated, "It is thanks to the sacrifices of our national veterans that today's Republic of Korea exists," and added, "We will continue to promote various welfare projects so that the community can consistently show interest and honor them."
Yang Misuk, head of Hyodeok-dong, commented, "This sharing event was more than just delivering goods; it was a meaningful time to sit face-to-face with national veterans and express our gratitude," and continued, "The administration will do its utmost to ensure that Hyodeok-dong remains a place where the spirit of honor and sharing is alive."
