Hanam City Launches KakaoTalk AlimTalk for Local Tax Notifications... Easier and Faster Payments
Hanam City in Gyeonggi Province announced on June 24 that it will officially launch the KakaoTalk 'Mobile Local Tax Payment Guidance Service' starting in June 2025, aiming to deliver local tax bills more accurately and quickly and to make it more convenient for citizens to pay their taxes.
Previously, citizens experienced significant inconvenience because paper tax bills were often lost or arrived late. To address these issues, Hanam City conducted a pilot operation of this service last year and has decided to implement it officially starting this year.
This service notifies users of their local tax details via KakaoTalk AlimTalk messages as the payment deadline approaches. There is no need to apply separately or install an additional app; anyone with a smartphone registered in their own name will automatically receive the notification messages.
After receiving the message, users can make payments immediately using the Wetax app.
