Icheon City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 20th that it has selected the design submitted by Nom Architects & Engineers Co., Ltd. as the winning entry in the architectural design competition for the 'Children's Nursery Rhyme Center'.

View original imageThe 'Children's Nursery Rhyme Center' is a public building themed around children's nursery rhymes. It is planned to be constructed within Oncheon Neighborhood Park in Anheungdong, Icheon City, with one basement floor and three above-ground floors, and a total floor area of 1,045 square meters.
The city explained that the winning design received high marks in the evaluation for its organic connection with the surrounding natural environment, its spatial planning tailored to children's perspectives, and its consideration of connectivity with nursery rhymes.
The city plans to configure the center as a space for nursery rhyme exhibitions for children, as well as experience and educational spaces, and a performance area. Based on the winning design, the city will complete administrative procedures and detailed design, and then aims to begin construction in the second half of this year.
