Gangseo District has established the "AI Gangseo Administrative Innovation Action Plan" to enhance work efficiency and provide customized services that residents can directly experience. This plan is the result of the AI Administrative Innovation Promotion Team and a practitioner-centered innovation research group, incorporating best practices from local governments nationwide and adapting them to Gangseo’s circumstances. The focus is on creating an environment where public officials can actively utilize AI in their work and on expanding AI projects that prioritize resident convenience.

The district has set three main strategies: improving work productivity through AI administrative innovation, participating in AI contests and demonstration projects, and establishing data governance for implementing AI pilot projects. Based on these, Gangseo will sequentially carry out 29 priority tasks across five key sectors: administration, safety, welfare, education, and new growth.

In the administrative sector, initiatives include expanding practical AI training for staff, providing user accounts for the paid version of ChatGPT, and automating the drafting of administrative documents. In the safety sector, the district will enhance on-site responsiveness with systems such as an AI-based rapid search system for missing persons, a wildfire monitoring platform, and smart poles for children's traffic safety.

In the welfare sector, the district aims to address gaps in care through services such as AI welfare check-ins, companion robot care, IoT-based real-time safety management, and smart monitoring of disabled parking zones.

Additionally, Gangseo will boost residents' digital accessibility by installing AI Zones equipped with conversational AI guides and AI experiential exhibition spaces, establishing an AI-specialized library, and introducing AI food scanners in daycare centers. The district will also support the digital transformation of the local economy by providing AI-based commercial district analysis and marketing support for small business owners.

This year, Gangseo District plans to strengthen practical capabilities by identifying and advancing pilot projects, and from next year, will expand the application of these projects in line with central government policies. The district also intends to continue discovering smart services tailored to local needs through collaboration with private companies within the area.

Jin Gyohun, Mayor of Gangseo District, stated, "Our goal is to proactively prepare for the era of AI transformation and make Gangseo the leading district in AI utilization nationwide. We will continue to implement smart administration that all residents can experience in their daily lives, keeping pace with AI innovation without interruption."

Meanwhile, on June 20, the district will hold a report meeting on the "AI Gangseo Innovation Task Action Plan," presided over by the mayor and attended by department heads.
