Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Partners with Korea Transportation Safety Authority for Automotive Data Research
Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance announced on the 19th that it has signed a comprehensive memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority to improve traffic safety and promote the mobility sector.
Through this MOU, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority plan to strengthen cooperation by utilizing each other's infrastructure and data in areas such as traffic safety education and business, research on the use of automotive data, and the activation of mobility governance.
Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority will mutually support each other's infrastructure and expertise in social contribution projects that have previously been conducted individually, such as traffic safety education and campaigns, road infrastructure improvement, and the establishment of an advanced traffic culture.
By integrating and mutually utilizing the data held by both organizations, they aim to produce high-quality research results. Based on this, they will strengthen cooperation in the development of effective automotive and mobility policies and technologies.
They also plan to establish a system of mutual cooperation for technology exchange and the discovery of new businesses in response to changes in the global mobility industry.
The signing ceremony for the MOU was held on the 19th at the Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance headquarters, attended by Lee Munhwa, President of Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, and Jung Yongsik, President of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, among others.
