KPMG Women's PGA Championship Increases Total Prize Money to $12 Million

The total prize money for the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, the third major tournament of the LPGA Tour season, has been increased to $12 million (approximately 16.5 billion KRW).
The PGA of America, which organizes the tournament, announced on June 18 (local time), "This year, 156 players will compete for a total prize purse of $12 million at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship," adding, "This ties the record for the largest prize money in women's golf history." The prize pool has increased by $1.6 million from last year's $10.4 million.

Among women's golf tournaments, the US Women's Open, organized by the United States Golf Association (USGA), has had the highest total prize money at $12 million since last year.
