The event was attended by approximately 350 people, including about 300 members of the Citizen Promotion Group, as well as representatives from the Yangsan City Council and local organizations and institutions, making it a great success.
During the pre-education session held prior to the ceremony, explanations were provided regarding the direction and roles of the Citizen Promotion Group. The '2026 Yangsan Visit Year' is a participatory tourism project led by citizens, and this was a meaningful occasion to reaffirm the commitment to building 'Yangsan, a tourism city created by its citizens.'
Going forward, the Citizen Promotion Group will carry out citizen-centered tourism marketing activities, including ▲SNS promotion of local tourism ▲participation in festivals and campaign sites ▲support for event operations. They are expected to serve as 'Yangsan Tourism Ambassadors,' actively promoting tourism both in daily life and on the ground.
Yangsan City plans to use this Visit Year not only to attract tourists, but also as a turning point to enhance the city's overall competitiveness by revitalizing the local economy, spreading cultural values, and fostering civic pride.
