Gyeongnam National University College of Education Signs Multilateral Agreement with Silla University to Strengthen Teachers' Digital Competencies

for Prospective and Current Teachers
On June 12, the College of Education and Graduate School of Education at Gyeongnam National University signed a multilateral agreement with the College of Education and Graduate School of Education at Silla University at the Digital Study Cafe on the third floor of the Education Building. The agreement aims to innovate teacher education in response to the era of AI-driven digital transformation.

View original imageThis agreement was established to strengthen the AI digital competencies and expertise of both prospective and current teachers as teacher training institutions. It also seeks to jointly promote an innovative education system and cooperation framework for education, research, and the exchange of human and material resources.
Through this multilateral agreement involving four institutions, the parties pledged to: develop and operate curricular and extracurricular programs for prospective teachers; plan and implement retraining and training programs for current teachers; support the enhancement of educators' teaching and research capabilities; and host academic exchanges, joint research, seminars, and workshops.
Kim Jeonghee, Dean of the College of Education, stated, "Gyeongnam National University has been leading the digital transformation of the local industry and, based on this, is also challenging for the official designation in the Glocal University 30 project this year. The university's excellent infrastructure and innovative capacity will make a significant contribution to equipping teachers with AI digital competencies in collaboration with Silla University as we prepare for the digital transformation era."
