KB Kookmin Bank Signs MOU to Support Industrial Complex Tenant Companies
KB Kookmin Bank announced on June 12 that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation and the Association of Industrial Complex Tenant Companies to support the expansion of ESG management and the revitalization of exports for companies located in industrial complexes.

View original imageThe agreement ceremony, held the previous day at the KB Kookmin Bank New Building in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, was attended by Sanghoon Lee, President of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation; Kyewoo Lee, Chairman of the Korea Industrial Complex Managers Association; Seunghoon Yeo, Vice Chairman of the Global Leading Companies Association; and Hwanju Lee, President of KB Kookmin Bank.
This agreement was established to provide both financial and non-financial services to companies located in industrial complexes, which account for 60% of the total manufacturing production in Korea.
Through this agreement, KB Kookmin Bank plans to offer 'ESG consulting' to companies recommended by the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation starting in the second half of this year, helping them diagnose their ESG management levels and establish response strategies. The bank will also participate in the '1st Korea Industrial Complex Export Expo' scheduled for September to provide financial consultations for export companies.
In addition, KB Kookmin Bank will participate in the 'Industrial Complex ESG+ Council,' a public-private consultative body aimed at spreading ESG management among industrial complex companies, and will expand support for management and export by cooperating with regional councils of industrial complexes nationwide.
