Uljusunbawi Library Selected as Operating Institution for "Reading Culture Program Support Project for People with Disabilities"
Uljusunbawi Library has been selected as an operating institution for the "2025 Reading Culture Program Support Project for People with Disabilities," which is organized by the National Library for the Disabled.
On June 12, Uljugun announced that, following this selection, it plans to actively operate customized reading culture programs for local individuals with developmental disabilities. The goal is to expand access to and enjoyment of reading culture for people with disabilities, and a variety of reading activities tailored to participants' interests and levels of understanding will be provided.
One of the main programs is the "Visiting Reading Culture Program," which will be held in cooperation with Majungmul Daycare Center, a local welfare facility for people with disabilities. This program will run for a total of 10 sessions from July 16 to October 1.
In addition, on September 24, two more local welfare facilities for people with disabilities will be recruited to participate in a Uljusunbawi Library tour program. Participants will learn how to use the library and enjoy various experiential activities, including watching a children's play, covering both books and culture.
