KT and Palantir Accelerate AI Transformation in Korean Industry... Launch Joint Marketing Initiatives
Ryan Taylor CRO Visits Korea
Focus on Sales Targeting the Financial Sector
KT announced on June 12 that, following its strategic partnership with global artificial intelligence (AI) platform company Palantir, it will share technology and marketing capabilities with the aim of accelerating AI transformation (AX) in the domestic industry.
To this end, Palantir's Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) Ryan Taylor visited Korea and discussed specific strategic directions with KT executives and employees at the KT Gwanghwamun Building.
Palantir is a U.S.-based AI software company specializing in big data analytics platforms, founded in 2003 by PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel. Previously, the two companies signed a strategic partnership in March.
The main areas of cooperation include sharing technological capabilities through AI and data platform training, as well as joint marketing tailored to target industries. KT will assign specialized personnel to conduct joint projects with Palantir's global engineers, thereby transferring technical expertise. Currently, a proof-of-concept (PoC) project is underway targeting KT's internal processes.
In terms of marketing, both companies have agreed to operate as mutual exclusive partners for sales targeting the financial sector, including banking and insurance. They will also pursue joint marketing and sales activities for other potential customers outside the financial industry.
