Hana Bank Promotes Mutual Growth with Small Business Owners through 'Business Environment Improvement Support Project'
Environmental Improvements for 2,000 Small Businesses Nationwide
Up to 2 Million KRW Support Per Business Location
On June 12, Hana Bank announced that it will launch the "Business Environment Improvement Support Project" in collaboration with the Small Enterprise and Market Service (SEMAS) and the Social Solidarity Bank (Together We Make the World Association) to help small business owners overcome management crises and strengthen their business competitiveness amid prolonged consumption contraction and a continued slump in domestic demand.
This "Business Environment Improvement Support Project" is open for applications until July 9 and targets small business establishments across the country that require signboard or interior repairs. The project is divided into two areas: the "Signboard Support Project" and the "Interior Repair Support Project," aiming to improve the environment in front of a total of 2,000 business locations.
First, the "Signboard Support Project" will accept applications from small business owners wishing to improve their business exteriors and will support the replacement or additional installation of old signboards at approximately 1,000 business locations. Environmental improvements will be made to wall-mounted signboards, protruding signboards, standing signboards, and window advertisements, with a maximum support limit of 2 million KRW per business. The renewal of signboards is expected to help increase store recognition.
The "Interior Repair Support Project" will select approximately 1,000 business locations owned by small business owners seeking to create a more pleasant indoor environment. Each selected business will receive support for interior construction and equipment purchase costs, including store interior renovations, restroom improvements, table replacements, and the purchase of fixtures and equipment, up to a maximum of 2 million KRW per business.
Recipients will be selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of business viability, sustainability, and the appropriateness of support. In particular, this support project will offer preferential benefits during the evaluation process to small business owners who have completed Onnuri Gift Certificate affiliate registration within "alley-type shopping districts" designated by local government ordinances under the Special Act on the Promotion of Traditional Markets and Shopping Districts.
Applications can be submitted via the "Hana OneQ" mobile banking app for individual business owners, the Hana Bank website, and the Hana PowerOn website.
A representative from Hana Bank's ESG Coexistence Finance Department stated, "The 'Business Environment Improvement Support Project' is a field-oriented support initiative designed not only to provide financial assistance but also to offer practical help to small business owners struggling to increase their sales," adding, "We will continue to do our utmost to fulfill our role as a reliable partner for revitalizing the stagnant local economy and achieving mutual growth with small business owners."

Meanwhile, Hana Bank has continued to practice its unique coexistence finance by supporting the growth of small business owners, who are the foundation of the people's economy and the core of local communities. In March, the bank carried out the "High-Efficiency Energy Equipment Support Project" for about 1,000 business locations, replacing old, low-efficiency energy devices such as air conditioners and refrigerators with high-efficiency equipment. In August, the bank will also launch the "Digital Transformation Device Support Project," which will provide barrier-free kiosks and AI CCTVs to help small business owners improve management efficiency and reduce costs.
