Haesong Offshore Wind Power Selects LS Marine Solution as Preferred Bidder for Submarine Cable Installation

Haesong Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd., the corporate entity behind the Shinan offshore wind project led by Danish energy investment and development firm Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), announced on the 11th that it has selected LS Marine Solution, a company specializing in submarine cable construction, as the preferred bidder for the transportation and installation of submarine cables.
The PSA (Prioritized Supply Agreement) signing ceremony, held in conjunction with the preferred bidder selection, was attended by Jonathan Spink, CEO of Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP) Korea; Ji-An Kwon, Executive Director of Supply Chain Strategy at Haesong Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd.; Byungok Kim, CEO of LS Marine Solution; Inkyu Choi, Head of Sales Division at LS Marine Solution; and other key officials.
Under this agreement, the two companies will establish a strategic partnership for the transportation and installation of submarine cables for the Haesong Offshore Wind Power 1·3 projects. They also agreed to hold further discussions regarding schedules and technical requirements for actual installation and construction until the signing of the final Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract.
Haesong Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd. has obtained power generation licenses for two offshore wind farms, each with a capacity of 500 megawatts (MW), in Shinan, Jeollanam-do, and is awaiting final approval of the environmental impact assessment.
