Strategic Vision for the Next K... Korea Creative Content Agency's 'Content Industry Forum'
Discussion on Policy and Industry Issues in Broadcasting, Music, and Games

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency will host the "Content Industry Forum" for three days from June 18 to 20 at the CKL Stage in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. Under the theme "New Challenges for the Content Industry Toward the Next K," the forum will present a strategic vision for the advancement of K-content. Policy and industry issues will be discussed across five sectors: policy, broadcasting, storytelling, music, and games.
Twenty-eight industry experts will participate in the forum, offering insights on strengthening competitiveness in the global market, hyper-localization, and innovation in platform business models. The forum will also address tasks related to realizing the new government's key pledge of building a "Global Soft Power Big 5" cultural powerhouse.
On the first day, director Jang Sung-ho of the animated film "King of Kings," which was a box office success in North America, will share examples of global cooperation toward the Next K. Song Jin, head of the Content Industry Policy Research Center at the Korea Creative Content Agency, will present strategies to expand the global competitiveness of K-content. Popular culture critic Jung Deokhyun, Kim Yoonji, senior researcher at the Korea Eximbank Overseas Economic Research Institute, and Cho Youngshin, Ph.D. at Future Lab, will also participate to discuss topics such as global K-content users, revenue improvement through intellectual property (IP), and strategies for the global market.
On the second day, Hong Sungchang, head of the drama division at Studio S, will introduce changes in the broadcasting ecosystem under the theme "Walking with Global Platforms." Ko Jungseok, CEO of Egg is Coming, will discuss the expansion of worldviews in broadcast video content, while Kim Heeyeol, head of the drama division at Pan Entertainment, will examine the sustainability of the broadcast video content ecosystem. In addition, Bae Junghyun, head of business at SAMG Entertainment, Lee Homin, director at MegaMGC Coffee, Lee Hyunki, head of the Music Business Center at SM Entertainment, and Kim Jiweon, business leader at Mnet Plus, will take the stage to address a variety of topics related to storytelling and music.
On the final day, Lim Changu, Senior Account Director at Sensor Tower, will explore opportunities in the global gaming market through data. Kim Minjae, CTO of NC AI, and Lee Minwoo, director at Krafton, will each share diverse strategies and case studies under the themes of rewriting the global development formula with AI technology and global expansion strategies as seen in the BGMI case, respectively.

Yoo Hyunseok, Acting President of the Korea Creative Content Agency, stated, "Next K is a turning point for K-content to become a central pillar of the global cultural industry," adding, "Through this forum, we will establish new standards for K-content and prepare future strategies."
