Contract Signed with Vietnam's Largest State-Owned Enterprise for "O Mon 4"
1,155 MW Capacity... Stabilizing Power Supply in Southern Region
"Expansion Planned by 2030... Potential for More Orders"
Doosan Enerbility continues to achieve success in the global gas combined cycle power plant market.
On June 9, Doosan Enerbility announced that it had signed a contract worth approximately 900 billion KRW with Vietnam's largest state-owned enterprise, the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN), for the construction of the "O Mon 4" gas combined cycle power plant. Doosan Enerbility formed a consortium with PECC2, a local specialist in power plant construction, to secure the order. The company will be responsible for the entire process, from supplying main equipment to construction and comprehensive commissioning.

The total generation capacity will reach 1,155 MW, and completion is scheduled for 2028. Once completed, the plant is expected to contribute to stabilizing the power supply in southern Vietnam, including the Can Tho region.
Lee Hyunho, Head of Plant Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Business Group at Doosan Enerbility, stated, "Our accumulated track record and technological capabilities in the Vietnamese power generation market have led to this order. Vietnam plans to expand its gas combined cycle power plant capacity by up to 37.4 GW by 2030, so there is significant potential for additional orders in the future."
With this contract, Doosan Enerbility has secured a total of five overseas gas combined cycle power plant projects worth approximately 4.3 trillion KRW so far this year. Starting with the Qatar peaking unit (about 290 billion KRW) in February, the company went on to win the Luma 1 and Nairiyah 1 projects (about 2.2 trillion KRW) and the PP12 project (about 890 billion KRW) in Saudi Arabia in March.
