Gyeonggi Assembly Member Youngil Yoo Launches Supporters' Association, Actor Hong Kyungin Appointed Chairperson
Youngil Yoo, Vice Chair of the Urban Environment Committee of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly (People Power Party, Anyang 5), officially launched his supporters' association on June 9.
This follows the revision of the Political Funds Act in July 2024, which now allows local assembly members to establish permanent supporters' associations and raise political funds. The association’s catchphrase is "Politics, Hope, and Action," and the chairperson is actor Hong Kyungin.
Chairperson Hong Kyungin stated, "Having observed Assembly Member Youngil Yoo for a long time, I know very well how determined and action-oriented he is. I accepted the position of chairperson because I empathize with his political philosophy and wish to contribute to spreading the value of practical politics."
Assembly Member Youngil Yoo previously served as the chair of the Urban Environment Committee in the first half of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly and is currently the vice chair in the second half. He also serves as the chief deputy floor leader of the People Power Party in the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly, actively engaging in various legislative activities to realize the party's political goals and values.
Assembly Member Youngil Yoo said, "In politics, action is more important and meaningful than a hundred words. I hope this supporters' association will become a platform for communication to create hope for tomorrow together with the residents of the province."
