The city plans to invest a total project budget of 9.4 billion won, including 7.4 billion won in national and provincial funds, into these two buildings to carry out energy performance improvement works such as insulation construction, window replacement, and the installation of high-efficiency heating and cooling systems.
Starting with design contracts next year, the city plans to proceed with construction and complete the project by the end of 2027.
Gwangmyeong City has been continuously promoting green remodeling projects centered around the Green Architecture Support Center. Last year, the city was recognized for its achievements in its own initiatives, such as transitioning to zero-energy buildings, and received a commendation from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport as an outstanding institution.
