Students from Dong-A University, Dongseo University, and Dong-Eui University, who are currently enrolled in AI-based startup marketing courses, as well as students from Meijo University in Japan, participated in the event and had the opportunity to directly experience global trends on site.
Participants conducted surveys targeting local Japanese residents to identify market demand, and based on this, presented marketing strategies. Through this process, they gained hands-on experience in market research and building startup ideas.
At this camp, Team A from Dong-A University (Kwon Yeji from the Department of International Trade, Jung Sangmyung from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Lee Junseo from the Department of Taekwondo, and Kim Jaewon from the Department of AI) won the grand prize, while Team B (Kim Minjun and Jung Yuseok from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Ho Kangmin and Cho Minsu from the Department of Taekwondo) received the encouragement award.
The grand prize-winning team analyzed the results of the local survey and presented a marketing strategy for beauty products (HaRu) tailored to the Japanese market, receiving high marks for both practical applicability and creativity.
Kwon Yeji, the representative of Team A, said, "It was a great opportunity to explore various startup ideas by looking at the Japanese market from a university student's perspective," and added, "It was very helpful in gaining startup experience."
A representative from the Dong-A University RISE Project Group stated, "We plan to continue operating a variety of programs so that students can further develop their global perspective and strengthen their entrepreneurial capabilities."
