"Turning Failure into Assets"... Hoseo University Supports 33 Re-entrepreneurs
Supporting Market Entry with a Self-Developed Startup Support Platform
Hoseo University announced on June 9 that it was selected earlier this year as the lead institution for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' '2025 Rechallenge Success Package' and is currently supporting practical entrepreneurship for 33 re-entrepreneurs.
Hoseo University is operating a customized step-by-step program centered on its self-developed startup support platform 'RE:BOOT,' which includes education on redesigning startup items, hands-on mentoring, and investment linkage.
The support targets aspiring entrepreneurs with previous startup failures, including companies such as Parilo MNB Co., Ltd., which, after five failed attempts, developed a neural stimulation medical device and is preparing for overseas expansion.
To ensure smooth support, Hoseo University has established a startup ecosystem by signing an agreement for matching funds with Chungnam Province, attracting 1.2 billion KRW in private investment, and forming a team of startup expert mentors.
In particular, Hoseo University is the only university industry-academic cooperation foundation nationwide to hold the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' TIPS operation qualification, and regularly conducts investment linkage programs such as 'Brown Bag Meetings' to connect startup teams with venture capital (VC).
TIPS is a technology startup support program that discovers and supports promising technology startups in partnership with the government.
Park Seungbeom, head of the Rechallenge Startup Support Center, said, "Turning failure experiences into assets is the key to successful re-entrepreneurship," and added, "We will continue to provide tailored support so that entrepreneurs can reestablish themselves in the market."
