53% of Respondents Say "Expectations Are Very High," 75% Give Positive Responses

More than half of small business owners have expressed high expectations for the new government's policies to boost consumption through regional currencies and similar initiatives, according to a recent survey.

On June 9, Korea Credit Data (KCD) announced that an urgent survey conducted among small business owners using its business management solution, CashNote, found that 53% of all respondents answered that their expectations for the policy were "very high."

In addition to the 53% who said their expectations were very high, 22% responded that they had "somewhat high" expectations, meaning that three-quarters of all respondents gave positive answers. In contrast, only 15% said they had no expectations at all.

This survey was conducted rapidly over a seven-hour period, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 8. Out of 4,462 small business owners who viewed the survey questions, 1,962 participated and submitted responses.

Kang Yewon, Chief Data Officer at Korea Credit Data, stated, "The results show that small business owners have very high expectations for the new government's economic stimulus policies, especially as the economic downturn has continued for two consecutive quarters since the fourth quarter of last year." She added, "As a specialized company serving 2.6 million small business owners in Korea, the Korea Credit Data community will continue to act as a fast and accurate channel for conveying the voices of small business owners."
