First Weekend After President Lee Jaemyung's Inauguration Sees Dueling Rallies: "Arrest Yoon" vs "Election Fraud"
On June 7, the first Saturday since President Lee Jaemyung's inauguration, rallies were held across various locations in Seoul. Some rallies called for the arrest of former President Yoon Sukyeol, while others, organized by Yoon's supporters, protested alleged election fraud.

Participants waved the Taegeukgi and the Stars and Stripes, claimed election fraud, and demanded the resumption of President Lee's remand trial. According to unofficial police estimates, about 800 people attended the rally as of 3 p.m.
The progressive group Candlelight Action held a rally at 5 p.m. near Exit 9 of Gyodae Station, close to the courthouse in Seocho-gu, demanding the arrest of former President Yoon and his wife, Kim Keonhee. They then marched to Sinnonhyeon Station.
Candlelight Action stated, "The establishment of a government based on popular sovereignty marks a new stage in our struggle," and added, "Let us march forward boldly toward the eradication of insurrection and a major transformation of society with greater ambition and confidence."

The student organization Democratic Autonomous Unification University Students' Council also held a rally condemning former President Yoon at 2 p.m. in front of the War Memorial near the presidential office in Yongsan-gu, and then marched to Yongsan Station.
