Former CEO Song Manjun Resigns Due to Health Issues
Shinsegae Group announced on June 5 that it has appointed Choi Jinil, Executive Director in charge of MD Innovation at Emart, as the new CEO of Emart24.
The company explained that the previous CEO, Song Manjun, resigned due to health reasons. The newly appointed CEO, Choi, joined the Shinsegae Emart division in 2000 and has served as head of planning and operations for the No Brand BM, as well as head of Fresh 2 at the Grocery Division, establishing himself as a "product expert." Born in 1974, he is the youngest among the CEOs of the group's affiliates.
