Up to 1,888 Yen Discount Per Transaction When Using Naver Pay in Japan
Benefits for QR Payments at PayPay Merchants in Japan Until August
Naver Pay (Npay) announced on June 5 that it will run a promotion until August, offering an instant discount of up to 1,888 yen per transaction when users make QR payments at PayPay-affiliated merchants in Japan using Naver Pay X Alipay+ (Alipay+).
This promotion applies to approximately 3.2 million PayPay-affiliated merchants across Japan that offer MPM-type payments, where users scan the QR code displayed at the store to complete payment. The minimum payment amount is 3 yen, and the instant discount cannot exceed the payment amount.
Currently, Npay overseas QR payments are available in 65 countries and regions, the highest number among domestic simple payment services.
Through QR payment integration not only with Alipay+ but also with UnionPay and GLN, users can enjoy Npay QR payment and earn rewards at many popular merchants in Japan, China, and Thailand frequented by tourists.
In the first quarter of this year, Npay overseas QR payments grew by 70.7% compared to the fourth quarter of last year.

Meanwhile, until the end of this month, there are also events such as a raffle for a 50,000 won reward for 200 users who make cumulative QR payments of 100,000 won or more in Japan, China, or Thailand, and an instant reward of 500 won for any payment of at least 1,000 won.
