Seventeen Achieves Triple Crown on Japan's Oricon Weekly Album Chart
Group Seventeen has achieved a triple crown on the Oricon Weekly Chart, according to their agency, Pledis Entertainment, on June 5.
According to Oricon, Seventeen's fifth full-length album, "HAPPY BURSTDAY," topped the "Weekly Combined Album Ranking" for the chart dated June 9. This marks Seventeen's 14th time reaching number one on this chart, setting the record for the most number-one entries among overseas artists.
The album earned a total of 467,000 points, including approximately 457,000 CDs sold. During the same period, it also ranked first on both the "Weekly Digital Album Ranking" and the "Weekly Album Ranking."
"HAPPY BURSTDAY" also claimed the top spot on Billboard Japan's "Top Album Sales" chart for the period from May 26 to June 1. The title track "THUNDER" ranked second on the "Hot Shot Song" chart and twelfth on the "Hot 100."

The album was released on May 26 and sold over 2.52 million copies in its first week, setting the record for the highest first-week sales among K-pop albums in 2025. "THUNDER" entered the US Billboard "Global 200" and "Global (excluding US)" charts for the chart dated June 7, based on streaming and download performance during the first four days after its release.
