Yangsan Branch of Ministry of Employment and Labor Operates "Visiting Labor Consultation Center" and Holds Street Campaign
On-site Promotion for Protecting the Rights of Vulnerable Workers
and Establishing Basic Labor Order
The Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (headed by Kwon Guhyung) operated a "Visiting Labor Consultation Center" and conducted a street campaign to establish basic labor order and protect the rights of vulnerable workers in the area around Youth Street in front of Yangsan Station on June 4, 2025.
This event was co-hosted with the Yangsan Regional Branch of the Federation of Korean Trade Unions (headed by Ahn Gwangjin) and was organized to protect the rights of workers, including small business owners, and to raise awareness of labor-related laws.
The "Visiting Labor Consultation Center," which provides one-on-one tailored consultations and practical support at worksites, is an on-site consultation service designed for small business owners and workers who lack sufficient understanding of labor management and labor laws.
During the event, labor inspectors and employment center staff provided one-on-one consultations on basic labor laws, prevention of wage arrears, and various employment support programs. Approximately 10 practical consultations were provided to Yangsan citizens who visited the site.
Following the labor policy promotion, a street campaign was held with the participation of about 40 people, including the Yangsan Regional Branch of the Federation of Korean Trade Unions, the Korea Labor Foundation, the Yangsan Labor Branch, and the Yangsan Employment Center. They carried out activities to protect the rights of vulnerable workers, such as non-regular employees.
Participants in the campaign visited workplaces and shops directly, distributing leaflets and providing explanations on the importance of complying with basic labor order and on employment support policies, thereby engaging in active promotional activities.
