Lee Jae Myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, commented on divisive politics on June 2, stating, "People resort to dividing sides and trying to take everything for one side only when they lack competence," and added, "What matters is being loyal to the people and doing a good job."

Lee emphasized, "The way to achieve this is by improving people's lives," and continued, "It is important that society becomes more just, hope is created, and corruption is reduced."
