The inspection was carried out to ensure that voters can cast their ballots in a safe and convenient environment, and to prevent any confusion that might arise at the sites in advance.
County Mayor Jeong Cheolwon thoroughly checked the entry and exit routes, facilities for people with disabilities, power and communication systems, and emergency response protocols by visiting major polling stations and counting centers one after another. He also encouraged election staff on site and listened to their concerns.
Mayor Jeong stated, "I will make sure to oversee the process until the very end so that this election, which is at the core of democracy, is conducted fairly and safely," and urged, "I hope all residents will exercise their valuable right to vote."
Meanwhile, the 21st presidential election will be held from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 18 polling stations within the county. The locations of the polling stations can be found on the Damyang County website.
