Sunmoon University Operates Employment Training Program for International Students
Three-Day Customized Program
Enhancing Settlement and Employment Competencies in Korea
On June 2, Sunmoon University announced that it had operated an employment training program for international students in collaboration with the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency.
The program was held at the Chungcheong Training Center from May 29 to 31, with 42 international students from eight countries, including Vietnam and Uzbekistan, participating.
The training covered topics such as motivation for employment and career planning, practical exercises in writing resumes and self-introduction letters, real interview coaching, and understanding corporate culture.
The special lecture featured Zahid Hussain, a graduate of Sunmoon University's Korean Language Institute and a panelist on JTBC's "Non-Summit," who shared his experiences of settling in Korea.
Zahid began studying at Sunmoon University in 2008 as a Korean Government Scholarship Program (GKS) recipient and is currently serving as the head of the Korea Global Korea Scholarship Alumni Association.
Tet Tet Win, a fourth-year student in the Department of Information and Communication Engineering from Myanmar who participated in the program, said, "Through this program, I gained confidence about finding employment in Korea."
President Moon Sungje stated, "Sunmoon University aims to foster global talent in harmony with the local community, and we will continue to strengthen education and settlement support for international students."
