Bucheon City Selected for "Gyeonggi AI Innovation Cluster Development" Project
On June 2, Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has been selected as the final recipient of the "2025 Gyeonggi AI Innovation Cluster Development" project, which is co-hosted by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Business and Science Accelerator.
According to the city, Gyeonggi Province selected four cities and counties, including Bucheon, as cluster development sites through a two-stage process consisting of a presentation evaluation and an on-site inspection. Combined with the two pre-designated sites in Seongnam, a total of six hubs will be established.
In Bucheon, "Ground21," located in Sambotechno Tower in Chunui-dong, has been confirmed as the project site. With this selection, the city plans to develop "Ground21" into a new space where artificial intelligence (AI) companies can move in and operate.
