PFCT and Koryo Savings Bank Introduce Industry's First AI Screening Using Non-Financial Information
Supplying 'AirPack' AI Solution Utilizing Toss Non-Financial Data
PFCTechnologies (PFCT) and Koryo Savings Bank announced on June 2 that they will be the first in their respective industries to supply and implement 'AirPack,' an artificial intelligence (AI)-based risk management solution that utilizes non-financial information from Toss.
AirPack is an AI risk management solution independently developed by PFCT. PFCT will apply the 'Toss Score,' provided by Korea Credit Rating Data, to develop and supply a customized AI loan screening system for Koryo Savings Bank.
Koryo Savings Bank is the first in the savings bank sector to introduce an AI loan screening system that utilizes non-financial information. Both companies believe this will enable more sophisticated credit evaluation and risk management.
The AirPack AI screening system comprehensively analyzes not only a customer's credit score but also non-financial information provided by Toss, such as telecommunications bill payment history and consumption patterns, and reflects these in its assessments. This is expected to increase access to financial services for customers such as young adults who have sufficient repayment ability but have been limited in obtaining loans due to a lack of credit transaction history.
Koryo Savings Bank plans to use the implementation of this system as an opportunity to strengthen its competitiveness in the expanding non-face-to-face loan market, which is centered around online loan comparison platforms. The bank aims to enhance profitability and soundness by securing additional high-quality customers.
Moon Yunseok, CEO of Koryo Savings Bank, stated, "With the introduction of AirPack, we can now reach customer segments that were difficult to approach with our existing screening system. This will provide broader financial opportunities for customers and offer the bank a chance to strengthen both profitability and soundness."
