On-site Inspection the Day Before the Presidential Election
Ko Kidong, the Acting Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, visited Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province to inspect the election preparation status.
On June 2, the day before the 21st presidential election, Acting Minister Ko visited the Bokdae 1-dong No. 1 polling station located at the Bokdae 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju.
Acting Minister Ko checked the overall voting preparation status, including measures for ballot paper storage, voting equipment, and the cooperation system with the local election commission, police, and fire department.
In particular, he thoroughly inspected facilities to assist disabled voters, as well as ballot boxes and polling booths, to ensure a smooth voting process for all voters.
