LG Electronics, in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, is introducing an experiential space utilizing plant-based home appliances at a public secondhand bookstore in the city.
On June 2, LG Electronics announced that until July 13, it will present a special experiential space where plants and reading come together at 'Seoul Book Bogo' in Songpa-gu, Seoul, using its plant-based home appliance, the LG Tiiun Mini.
Seoul Book Bogo is the first public secondhand bookstore in South Korea, established in 2019 by the Seoul Metropolitan Government by collecting approximately 130,000 books. Recently, it has been revamped as a 'book culture space,' featuring themed bookshelves, a book cafe, and a transcription area, and every two to three months, it selects and recommends books based on new themes.

The LG Tiiun Mini is a plant-based home appliance that allows users to easily grow plants by installing a seed kit, adding water and nutrients, and turning on the LED lighting. Visitors can enjoy reading while appreciating a variety of plants?including marigolds, snapdragons, dill, and kale?growing in the LG Tiiun Mini within a plant-interior (a compound of 'plant' and 'interior') space themed as a 'Spring Day Book Greenhouse.'
At the cafe inside Seoul Book Bogo, visitors can also enjoy beverages made with cherry tomatoes, basil, and other plants grown in the LG Tiiun Mini. Additionally, customers who visit Seoul Book Bogo can participate in an event by selecting one of the displayed LG Tiiun Mini units and leaving a message; ten winners will be selected by lottery to receive the chosen LG Tiiun Mini along with a seed kit.
