Jeonnam's Early Voter Turnout Nears 50 Percent
As of 2:00 p.m. on the last day of early voting for the 21st presidential election, May 30, the nationwide average early voter turnout stood at 28.59%.
According to the National Election Commission, as of 2:00 p.m. on this day, 12,689,868 out of 44,391,871 eligible voters nationwide had participated in early voting.
On the 30th, the last day of early voting for the 21st presidential election, voters visited the early voting site in Sinchon-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, located near Yonsei University and Ewha Womans University, to cast their votes. So far, the region with the highest voter turnout is Jeonnam (48.58%), followed by Jeonbuk (45.40%) and Gwangju (44.28%). The lowest turnout was recorded in Daegu (20.53%).
