Ulsan City Recruiting Resident Companies for Ulsan Startup Hub
Applications Accepted Until June 12... Final Selection After Document and Presentation Review at the End of June
Wide Recruitment from (Preliminary) Entrepreneurs to Member Companies and Investment Firms
Ulsan City is recruiting resident companies for the 'Ulsan Startup Hub' until June 12, 2025, in an effort to revitalize the local startup ecosystem.
The city has established the 4th to 6th floors of the Jongha Innovation Center, which was completed last year, as a startup hub space. The 'Ulsan Startup Hub', which is emerging as a new center of Ulsan's startup ecosystem, is currently in trial operation.
After completing the trial operation, during which space and facilities were provided free of charge, the city plans to begin full-scale operations in July. It will recruit new creative and capable (preliminary) startups and investment companies to enhance the operation of the space.
The recruitment targets are startups within three years of establishment and investment companies. For those wishing to join as startup members (membership), preliminary entrepreneurs or startups within seven years of establishment are also eligible to apply.
Applications can be submitted via a Google Form posted on the websites of the Ulsan Center for Creative Economy and Innovation and the Ulsan Startup Hub until June 12, 2025.
Resident companies selected through this recruitment will receive: independent office space with a monthly management fee of 120,000 KRW (for a two-person office) to 330,000 KRW (for a six-person office), up to five free uses of meeting rooms per month, and priority participation in various programs and events organized by the Ulsan Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, which operates the hub.
In addition, those selected as startup members (membership) will receive differentiated startup support services, including: access to exclusive shared workspaces (coworking zones) for a membership fee of 20,000 KRW per month (240,000 KRW per year), professional mentoring and consulting, and participation in startup support programs.
Applicants will be finalized after document and presentation evaluations, with results announced after June 25, 2025, and use of the facilities available from July.
For more details, please refer to the announcement on the website or contact the Ulsan Center for Creative Economy and Innovation.
An official from Ulsan City stated, "This recruitment is a special opportunity for capable startups and investment companies aiming to realize innovation based in the Ulsan region," and added, "We will provide the optimal startup environment so that resident companies and member companies can grow together."
