Observing Classes and Discussing Tailored Programs
On May 29, Jooho Lee, Acting President and concurrently Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, visited the Neulbom School site at Wonchon Elementary School in Seocho-gu, Seoul. He stated, "In an era of low birth rates, it is important for the state to take responsibility for providing education and care in order to lessen the burden on the people."
The Neulbom School is a concept that integrates after-school classes and care classrooms. On this day, Acting President Lee personally observed elementary students participating in the Neulbom School program and discussed with school officials ways to provide programs tailored to the needs of students and parents.
Wonchon Elementary School operates a variety of Neulbom School programs, including pottery crafts and intelligent robotics.

Acting President Lee encouraged the school and Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education officials for their efforts to ensure the stable operation of the Neulbom School. He also requested that schools and the local community show greater interest in providing high-quality programs for students.
