Busan Office of Education to Operate 'Self-Esteem Recovery Family Healing Camp' for Students in Crisis
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) has prepared a healing program for elementary school students experiencing psychological and emotional crises, as well as their families.
From May 31 to June 1, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will operate a one-night, two-day self-esteem recovery family healing camp, 'Hyu Restaurant,' for 32 elementary school students in crisis and their families at the National Dareumsan Natural Recreation Forest in Gijang-gun.
This camp is designed to help stabilize the emotions of students and families experiencing psychological difficulties, such as self-harm or suicide attempts. It was organized as part of a business agreement signed in February between the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education and the National Natural Recreation Forest Management Office of the Korea Forest Service.
Participants will have the opportunity to connect with nature through activities such as cooking with forest products, forest interpretation programs, and woodworking. They will also have time to recover emotionally and strengthen family bonds through conversation.
