One Man in His 70s Suffers Smoke Inhalation
A fire broke out at an old commercial building near Euljiro in Jung-gu, Seoul, leaving one person with minor injuries.
According to the National Fire Agency, a report of a fire at a single-story building in Sanlim-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul was received at around 3:25 p.m. on May 28, 2025. Firefighters arrived at the scene within six minutes and issued the first response level at 3:58 p.m., about 20 minutes later. Due to concerns about the fire spreading, they raised the response to level two at 4:37 p.m.
The fire authorities deployed 20 pieces of equipment and 79 personnel to extinguish the blaze.
As a result of the fire, a man in his 70s suffered minor injuries from smoke inhalation and was transported to the hospital.
Additionally, due to heavy smoke, all lanes from Euljiro 4-ga to 3-ga were completely closed to traffic.

The Jung-gu District Office sent a safety alert message, stating, "A large amount of smoke has been generated by the fire, and traffic is being controlled in the Euljiro 4-ga area. Residents are advised to keep their windows closed and wear masks when going outside for safety."
