Yangsan City Conducts Joint School Violence Prevention Campaign on Students' Way to School
Joint Campaign for School Violence Prevention with Related Organizations
On the morning of May 28, Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province launched the Gyeongnam Rainbow Center Yangsan Network together with around 30 representatives from related organizations, including the Yangsan City Department of Women and Youth, Yangsan Office of Education, Yangsan Police Station, Yangsan City Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, and Yangsan City Family Center. The joint campaign for school violence prevention was held in front of the main gate of Mulgeum Middle School.
This campaign was conducted to prevent school violence, which frequently occurs among students. The city distributed snacks with messages promoting school violence prevention and information about the youth hotline 1388 to students on their way to school.
An official from Yangsan City stated, "We will establish effective school violence prevention policies and related support measures by discovering diverse networks and collaborating with related organizations to create a safe environment for youth." The official also requested, "We ask for the active interest and cooperation of local residents and related organizations so that young people can grow up bright and healthy."
