These lights have been certified as tuning safety parts by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority (TS), making them legal for installation.
The Northern Fire Department introduced this device to enhance the rear visibility of fire trucks and reduce blind spots on dark roads and highways, thereby preventing secondary accidents.
Currently, 20 field response vehicles, including pump trucks and water tankers, have been equipped with the lights. The department plans to review the effectiveness of the lights and consider further implementation based on the results.
Lee Chungju, head of fire administration, stated, "We will continue to develop various measures to enhance the safety and efficiency of on-site response operations."
