Korea Investment & Securities Donates School Supplies and Snacks to Underprivileged Children
On May 27, Korea Investment & Securities announced that it had delivered sponsorship items worth approximately 180 million won, including school supplies and snacks, to children from underprivileged backgrounds in celebration of Family Month in May.
The items consisted of school supply kits and cookie sets, which were produced directly by individuals with developmental disabilities at Bravo Beaver, a standard workplace for people with disabilities. These items will be distributed to 29 child welfare facilities nationwide through the international relief and development NGO Good People, and are expected to benefit about 1,700 children.
President Kim Sunghwan said, "I hope that this small gift we delivered today will bring warmth and joy to our children," adding, "We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities so that children can nurture their dreams and hopes in a healthy environment."
