It serves as a route entering Seoul.
An average of about 4,500 people, including office workers and students from the Yangju and Uijeongbu areas, use this route daily. Since the route was converted to a public management system in October of last year, the punctuality of bus intervals has improved, and demand has steadily increased. As a result, buses have repeatedly reached full capacity during commuting and school hours, leading to ongoing complaints from residents.
Uijeongbu City confirmed the decision to increase the number of buses after ongoing consultations with Gyeonggi Province and by requesting budget support, among other efforts.
With this increase, the interval between buses during commuting and school hours is expected to be reduced by about five minutes, and the convenience of travel for citizens is anticipated to improve significantly.
