Special Education Support for Infants and Students by Gwangju East and West Education Offices
The Gwangju East and West Education Support Offices are distributing informational materials on free and mandatory education for special education students, to ensure that children and adolescents with developmental delays or disabilities receive appropriate education and support.

View original imageAccording to the Gwangju Office of Education on May 26, these materials have been prepared to help infants before school age, special education preschoolers aged 3 to 5, and elementary, middle, and high school students receive the special education and related services they need at each stage of their lives.
The materials consist of one leaflet and one poster. Under the theme "What kind of education does our child with developmental delays need?", the materials include information on: free education support for infants, mandatory education support for preschool, elementary, and secondary students, the process for selecting and placing eligible students, frequently asked questions, and the locations of special education support centers.
The Education Support Offices will distribute approximately 16,000 copies to 690 institutions in Gwangju, including educational institutions for infants and young children with disabilities, local governments, and public health centers, by early next month. In addition, 200 more copies will be provided at the "Special Education Student Admission and Career Support Parent Briefing Session" to be held at the Gwangju Office of Education Special Education Support Center on May 29.
