Democratic Labor Party: "Lee Junseok, Are All Scientists Environmental PC Advocates?"
"Unified Climate Pledge with Kim Moonsu"
On May 24, the Democratic Labor Party criticized Lee Junseok, the candidate of the Reform New Party, stating, "The Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concluded that nuclear power is less efficient than renewable energy in reducing carbon emissions," and added, "Are all international scientists part of a mafia? Are they environmental PC advocates?"

Deputy spokesperson Shin added, "Candidate Lee also suggested allocating the research and development (R&D) budget based on performance. He is no different from Yoon Sukyeol, who cut the carbon neutrality research budget and remained silent, except for the color of his party," and continued, "It already seems that he has unified his climate pledges with Kim Moonsu, the People Power Party candidate."
Deputy spokesperson Shin stated, "Science calls for the expansion of renewable energy. However, ideology insists that only nuclear power is acceptable," and emphasized, "Phasing out nuclear power is not a choice but a responsibility. Arguing to build more nuclear plants without taking responsibility is no different from suggesting to build youth housing without bathrooms."
