The district plans to sequentially inspect accommodations, newly built apartments, and embankment facilities by the end of this month.
In particular, this round of inspections includes the participation of Mayor Lee Ikang, the Seo-gu District Safety Management Department, the Seobu Fire Station, the Korea National Land Safety Management Institute, and other relevant organizations. Senior technical experts in structural engineering, architecture, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and firefighting are also joining the inspections.
The Safety Inspection Team utilizes 10 types of safety inspection equipment, including rebar corrosion meters and concrete compressive strength testers, to thoroughly examine the structural stability of facilities, the status of maintenance and management, disaster preparedness systems, and the implementation of safety management. Any hazards identified during this process will be immediately addressed, and facilities requiring repair or reinforcement will be dealt with as quickly as possible.
Mayor Lee Ikang stated, "Disasters can strike without warning, so prevention is more important than anything else. Through the Safety Inspection Team, we will thoroughly inspect even the hidden risks in daily life and ensure that 'Safe Seo-gu by Your Side' becomes a reality, so residents can live with peace of mind."
