Korea Tourism Organization Launches Special VK Alliance Promotion for Foreign Visitors to Korea
The Korea Tourism Organization announced on May 22 that it will hold a special "VK Alliance" promotion for foreign visitors to Korea on the integrated tourism platform VISITKOREA (VK) until June 29.
The VK Alliance is a public-private partnership system centered on VK, newly established by the Korea Tourism Organization last year to attract inbound tourists and support the overseas expansion of domestic tourism services.
In March, the Korea Tourism Organization recruited related organizations to join forces in attracting foreign tourists and selected 15 VK Alliance member companies. This special promotion is the first event organized this year in collaboration with VK Alliance member companies, offering a variety of discounts on accommodations, transportation, performances, tourist attractions, and more for travelers to Korea.
The special promotion includes a wide range of benefits such as: ▲ accommodation and food & beverage (F&B) discounts (Josun Hotels & Resorts); ▲ special short-term car rental discounts throughout Korea (Lotte Rental); ▲ 30% off the non-verbal performance "Painters" (Pentatonic); ▲ 30% off at Korean Folk Village (Jowon Tourism Development); ▲ 50% off at theme parks and water parks (Gyeongju World); ▲ Han River cruise package discounts (Ecruise), among others.
Prize events will also be held during the same period. Participants in the VK application download event, roulette event, and others will have a chance to win various prizes through a draw, including a round-trip airline ticket for one person and a Han River dinner cruise.
Park Soyoung, head of the Overseas Digital Marketing Team at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "Through this promotion, we aim to offer not only discounts but also a variety of convenient travel services to provide an attractive travel experience in Korea. Based on VK's 40 million customer data, which the organization possesses, we will actively collaborate with member companies to strengthen targeted marketing."
