This commendation was organized by the Central Labor Commission to identify and promote cases of autonomous dispute resolution between labor and management.
Previously, the museum signed a "Jiksoll" (Workplace Grievance Solution) agreement with the Busan Regional Labor Commission and operated various communication channels to address conflicts over workspace between the environmental cleaning and facility management departments. The museum received high praise for adopting a communication-focused approach, including meetings with expert committee members and roundtable discussions, which led to mutually acceptable agreements and resolved the issues without escalating into labor-management conflicts.
This case was introduced as a representative example of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) through dialogue between labor and management.
Song Samjong, Director of the National Busan Science Museum, stated, "We are continuously striving to build a healthy organizational culture based on communication," and added, "We will continue to do our best to create a work environment where all employees respect and trust each other."
The "Gongsoll·Jiksoll·Boksoll Hanmadang" is an event hosted by the Central Labor Commission to share the achievements of three dispute resolution models: Gongsol (Fair Labor-Management Solution), Jiksoll (Workplace Grievance Solution), and Boksoll (Multiple Union Solution), and to explore peaceful development directions for labor-management relations.
