the University's Dynamic Capabilities and Competitiveness
Kyungnam University successfully concluded the "2025 Kyungnam University Festa Week," an event that blended academic majors, career exploration, and culture, held in conjunction with the "79th Anniversary Hanma Daedong Festival" on May 22.
Organized by the Office of Educational Innovation and supported by the University Innovation Support Project, this event was designed to enhance students' understanding of their majors and their career planning skills. It also aimed to promote a culture of communication and participation on campus through a variety of cultural experiences. Approximately 80 creative experience booths and programs, prepared by various colleges and administrative departments, were operated during the festival.
As the festival aimed to be a "creativity-oriented and community-focused event," programs such as the Department of Nursing's "CPR Experience," the Department of Food and Nutrition's "Zero Sugar Campaign," the Department of Webtoon and Design's "T-shirt Customization," and the Department of Mechanical Engineering's "DIY Car Assembly Experience" provided diverse experiences and received enthusiastic responses from both students and local residents. In particular, the Department of Culinary Arts' "Bibimbap for 100 People Performance" attracted significant attention from attendees.
President Park Jaekyu stated, "We specially prepared this event alongside the Hanma Daedong Festival to showcase the university's outstanding educational capabilities to new students, offer creative educational experiences to current students, and share our vision for nurturing innovative talent with the local community." He added, "I hope for your warm interest and active participation in this meaningful festival, which highlights the university's dynamic capabilities and competitiveness."
