"Don't Worry About Storms or Floods" ... Jinhae District of Changwon Conducts Safety Inspection at Machon Public Market
On May 21, Jinhae District of Changwon Special City, South Gyeongsang Province, conducted a safety inspection in the area around Machon Public Market to prepare for flood and wind disasters ahead of the summer rainy season.
This inspection was organized to prevent safety accidents within the market and to ensure the safety of both merchants and visitors.
The inspection involved staff from relevant departments, as well as trustees and officials of Machon Public Market. The main inspection items included: checking electrical facilities for issues such as electric leakage; inspecting the maintenance status of drainage facilities and rainwater pipes; and checking the stability of structures such as canopies and signboards.
Kwon Nanyoung, Head of the Economic and Transportation Division, stated, "This inspection is significant in that it was conducted effectively through close cooperation with the market trustees," and added, "We will continue to do our best to create a safe market environment through ongoing management and preventive activities."
